Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Launched in India; Prices Start at Rs. 6.99 Lakh.
Maruti Suzuki today launched the much awaited Vitara Brezza sub-compact SUV in India at introductory prices starting from Rs. 6.99 lakh to Rs. 9.68 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Marking the carmaker's entry into fast growing compact SUV segment the new Vitara Brezza is the first sub-4 metre SUV from Maruti in India. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will be offered in four primary variants and two optional variants - LDI, LDI (O), VDI, VDI (O), ZDI, ZDI+. In Mumbai, the Vitara Brezza's price ranges between Rs. 7.35 lakh - Rs. 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki’s stranglehold over the dominance of the Indian market hasn’t been shaken for several decades and the Indo-Japanese automaker is now expanding its range of models into new segments it has yet to step foot in. The entry-level car segment has beyond been anybody’s grasp courtesy of the imposing presence of Maruti Suzuki with Alto, WagonR, Celerio, Swift hatchback and Dzire sedan.
However, it is trying hard lately to change the contemplation of its brand value by entering into premium segment. Last month, we spied Vitara Brezza rear profile with ZDi logo on it last year and is more likely, Brezza aka YBA to be sold via Maruti’s nation wide standard dealerships against the previous speculation of Nexa dealerships.
Engine & Specification, Mileage
Vitara Brezza will be powered only by the latest 1.3-litre 90PS diesel engine. The engines will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The 1.3-litre diesel is expected to return a mileage of 25km per litre.

The Vitara Brezza measures about the sub-4m segment standard 3995 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1640 in height and comes with a generous wheelbase of 2500 mm, ground clearance of 198 mm and boot capacity of 328 litres.
Exterior Designing:
Inspired by the Suzuki iv-4 concept, it gets a bolder design with tapered roofline and an A-pillar resembling Swift, a vertical-slated grille, clamshell bonnet, small quarter glass windows, integrated LED daytime running lights, honeycomb airdam, body cladding and skid plates, projector headlights with a secondary halogen unit and 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels amongst others.
It’s the first vehicle in India to comply with offset and side impact crash tests about to come into effect from next year, aided by the stronger Suzuki TECT hi-tensile steel body structure.
