Majorda Beach, Goa

About-
Quite similar in character to its neighbour, Utorda,  Majorda Beach i s also a white sandy beach with shacks, resorts and assorted water sports activities. With a recent boost in the incoming traffic from Russia, you’ll find loads of shacks sporting Russian sign boards. 
Though a little more cluttered in terms of shacks, it is still much cleaner and peaceful as compared to the other north Goa beaches. With the lifeguards on constant alert, it is very safe to indulge in the water sports and have a fun day at this beach. At regular intervals palm parasols are erected to provide shade against the sun.

Why Majorda Beach Is Famous-
Majorda is also famous for its bakery and toddy. Besides, the tourists can enjoy a wide variety of sea-food at the beach. One can also enjoy steaks and schezhuan specialties at Marjorda Beach in Goa.

 The beach also provides a number of facilities for the accommodations of the tourists. Tourists coming to the beach can find accommodation in the luxury and budget hotels located at the beach.

History-
the Majorda Beach is one of the secluded beaches in Goa truly defines the tranquil and indigenous ambiance of Goa. As per a legend, Lord Rama was kidnapped and brought to the Majorda beach in his childhood. It is also said that Lord Rama came to the beach in search of his wife, Sita.

The Majorda beach in Goa is approximately 18 kms from the Dabolim Airport and the closest railway station from the beach happens to be the Margao Railway Station. The best time to visit here is during the winters when the weather in Goa is mild.
