Moto droid turbo- Specifications here

                The new Moto Droid Turbo

Motorola Android 5.0 Lollipop Update
The Version Droid Turbo was announced earlier today, the Motorola-built device is the same size as the Moto X, boasts the internals of the Nexus 6 and comes with a monstrous battery capable of 48 hours of charge. So what’s the catch? Well for one, it is exclusive to Version and for another, early hands-on reviewers seems unimpressed by the device and its plastic build suggesting that the Droid Turbo needs more of a selling point than being a beefed up Moto X. However, for those Verizon customers who want a device smaller than the 6-inch Nexus 6, then the Version Droid Turbo may be an excellent alternative.

Version Droid Turbo Release Date, Price

The Droid Turbo should be available in Verizon stores on Oct. 30. The 32GB Version's Droid Turbo will be $199.99 on contract and the 64GB will be $249.99 on contract. Like all devices of the Droid line, the Droid Turbo is exclusive to Version.

Version  Droid Turbo Design

The Droid Turbo comes in 2 colors, black and red. The Droid Turbo lacks the metal frame found on the Moto X (2014) and the Nexus 6, instead it has a Kevlar finish which consists of metal-coated fiberglass and military-grade ballistic nylon. So you probably don’t have to worry about dropping or breaking the Droid Turbo.

The rugged build has slightly different dimensions depending on which one you choose. The Ballistic Nylon Droid Turbo has dimensions of 143.5 x 73.3 x 11.2mm and a weight of 176g. The Metalized Fiber Droid Turbo has dimensions of 143.5 x 73.3 x 10.6mm and a weight of 169g. It seems the Ballistic Nylon Droid Turbo is special edition and available in black only in both 32GB and 64GB versions.

version Droid Turbo Specs

The Droid Turbo boasts powerful specs, it has the overall form factor of the Moto X, but much more powerful internals. The Droid Turbo has a 5.2-inch IPS LCD Quad HD 2560 x 1440 display with 565ppi, giving it the same high quality display found on rival devices like the Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the LG G3.

The Droid Turbo has a great processor to match, with a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU. The Droid Turbo has 3GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB non-expandable memory options. The Droid Turbo also has a remarkable camera with 21-megapixel rear facing camera with dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel front facing camera.

version Droid Turbo Features

No discussion about the Droid Turbo can be complete with mention of its battery life. The device has a 3,900mAh battery, capable of providing 48 hours of battery life without charge. It comes with the same Turbo Charger as the Nexus 6. The Droid Turbo is capable of getting 8 hours of battery life in 15 minutes of charge.

The Droid Turbo ships with Android 4.4 KitKat, but you can be sure the device will get Android 5.0 Lollipop. You can keep track of the update status of the device HERE.

Final Word:

We will need some hands on time with the Droid Turbo before making a judgment, but so far with its 48 hour battery life, powerful specs, camera and Motorola update support it  may be a great device for Verizon customers that don't want to spring for the 6-inch Nexus 6 and want a device more powerful than the Moto X.
